AYUSA國際校友會於台北辦事處完成了幹部的改選，產生了新一批願意為本會勞心盡力的優良才子，改選的意義有二：其一，新血的加入，意味著新的活力，創造力，以及創意的組合，能為ASA帶來新的面貌;其二，這次的改選產生了正副會長各一，公關九人以及兩位活動，藉由分工合作，各職其所，學生會將能過大執行力延伸的範圍，改選並擴大，希望能為ASA加溫，提升所有交換學生的注意和參與度。
新的一批幹部在第一次的ASA會議中描繪出了學生會網頁架構的藍圖，透過這個平台，我們可以強化協會和學生會之間的引力，學生在網業上提出的問題，協會可以在第一時間回應並提供作為其他學生的參考，另外，協會也可以再網頁中提供最新的資訊給海內外的學生。學生透過網頁，可以了解到美國各個區域文化的不同，我們期望看到ASA為各未做出垂直的，水平的，多元層面的整合，讓大家都能有更多的新發現。
現階段的ASA有同書募集計畫，未來更希望能夠增加公益活的的策劃及參與，加上網路上資訊分享的能力，我們希望以後ASA的意義除了幫助學生自己外，更能將這股團體的力量傳送到外界去，讓社會感受到AYUSA的溫暖和希望。
Hello everyone!
How are you? “I am fine, thank you, and you?” I recalled this was how I responded to foreigners when I first arrived at the States, but afterward they can all be dialogues of daily life in asking people “What’s up?” Do you remember what year you went to the States? For me, it was two years ago, the alumni student of 2006-2007. I just can’t believe how fast time had past and yet, what this year had changed me.
In America, I had made many memorable memories with my Taiwanese friends in Los Angeles and my American friends in West Virginia. It’s not only an adventure about going to a place you don’t know, but also a time to know who you are. Everything is always difficult in the beginning, as we go on, they are just right before our hand and we can’t believe how time flies that it’s time to say goodbye. Do you remember the obstacles that were on your path and how you made it through with flying colours? In Taiwan, we were burden with loads of homework; however, in America we were exhausted with the inspiration and chances that others gave us. We gave a shot in anything that gave us a chance, advanced our skill, in anything new, we were so dynamic that we live up “no regret, our lives is ours to live.”Do you still remember them all? Why don’t you grab a pen and a paper right now, and recalled back as you finish this letter Write down who you were before the exchange program, how it impacts on you, and who you are right now!
I would like to share my “personal computer” to all, due to it I had made many awesome friends. Not having a budget on personal computer, I didn’t bring a laptop and had no way to communicate in a way I was used to. Flying back to the primitive time, I just had to fine a way to communicate in the original way. Talking makes everyone understand the most of you. I packed my time with theater, sports, talking and singing through classes that I am sure a teacher can’t bear having a stomach hurting from laughing too hard, and especially at night talking with my host family through midnights, having everyone pushing one another going to bed. Sounding ridiculous, but it’s true that we had to shovel everyone to hit the sack. Talking and sharing made me understand more about my host family, and my friends, in addition they understand our Chinese culture, and realizing the contrast between the Oriental and the Occidental. I realized not every had an open-mind, or had a generous heart in helping others, not everyone know what to do when they met a foreigner, and the stereotype from the movies about the Western is not all in general. “Speak up” is one great big phrase I had learned in this adventure.
I am now a freshman in FJU major in Advertising and Public Relations. After I came back from the US, I hopped right into class and joined the crew preparing for the examination. I must say: “It was really hard to adapt into a whole new educational system again, but worth it.” The year in having a singing solo, a member of the swimming team, singing and dancing in show choir, having an art show for my senior year masterpieces, and being the prom queen were all unbelievable and worth it.
There is “no day, but today” from the quote RENT and as the old saying goes in MIT: “study hard, work hard, and play harder.” I believe we can all achieve in what we want to be, there are no saying goes “you are too late to obtain, if you dream.” Go for a walk, explore a city, make a new friend, join a club, do something you know you are afraid. Live everyday to the fullest people! Fasten your seat belt, sit up tight, you flight is on its way to you aim! Go for it! 2005 / 03 - 給所有AYUSA的學生:當一個交換學生真正的價值，不見得是在國外的那年，在我看來，是從回國的那年開始，很多的人自認為交換學生後，得繼續留美深造才是最佳選擇，其實也不盡然，想在美國跟當地人競爭，並非不可行，只是先決的條件劣於人，自然要加倍的努力才可與人並列齊行;如果選擇在交換後的一年回到台灣，便會發現到自己具備了更堅強的英文實力，以及更深一層對國際觀的認知，此時，我們可以把在外的一切所見所聞，加諸自己的想法，跟自己身邊周圍的人再一次作交流，至此，不禁感悟到，原來交換的真正涵義，不僅是把自己的特點帶到國外跟別人分享，更是把別人的經驗，帶回來告訴自己人，相信在雙向互動中，彼此都會學到點什麼。
本人就是如此的例子，交換計畫完成後，在台灣繼續就學，沒想到，那一年的交換經驗，竟然是日後許多競爭優勢的來源，像是大學的全英語教學課程，對於過去有交換學生經驗的我，更是得心應手，個人的價值，往往都是建立在我們多出別人的部分，在國外，我們所多於他人的就是台灣的經驗，回國後，我們所多的則是美國的經驗，這是我回國後最深的感受，若改變初衷留在美國，交換學生的價值可能無處彰顯，所以，在我選擇回國考大學後，一直到現在，我從來都沒有後悔我所做的決定。
2004 / 10 - 給所有AYUSA的學生︰無論你現在或曾經是AYUSA的交換學生，出國嘗試獨立生活，並和國際學生搭建友誼橋樑，均是我們心中美好的回憶與寶貴的經驗。在編織記憶的過程中，家人與朋友總是與我們共赴酸甜苦辣。然而，礙於個人網絡的狹隘，國外生活的經驗總是只能以零碎且片段的形式互相分享，缺乏完整的交流平臺。
這正是AYUSA國際校友會成立的主要目的：一個包含多元管道的資訊交流園地。不僅可以提供當屆的美國交換學生一個分享心得的地方，更可以將過去交換學生的經驗保留下來；同時讓預備出國的學生有前車之鑑做為參考以調整自我方向，使其不至於徬徨無措。預期這將會是一個跨越時空的交流性組織。儘管遠景無限，但可否成就這一切，有賴於每位學生的參與程度。本人衷心企盼AYUSA國際校友會能在跨越世界橋樑的頂端，綻放絢爛的光芒，成就個人，也造福他人！
